Jay Rogoff, DVMDr. Jay Rogoff, Co-Founder of Animal Hospital of the Rockaways, attended Cornell University as an undergraduate and received a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1973 from Cornell College of Veterinary Medicine. He is a member in good standing of the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA), American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), Cornell Feline Health Center, New York State Veterinary Medical Society, and New York City Veterinary Medical Association. Dr. Rogoff heads our surgery department.

His interests include photography, travel, and horseback riding.

Dr. Susan Whittred graduated from Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine, earning a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2003. She is a member in good standing of the American Association of Feline Practitioners (AAFP), American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), Cornell Feline Health Center, New York State Veterinary Medical Society, Long Island Veterinary Medical Association, and the Association of Shelter Veterinarians (ASV). Dr. Whittred has vast experience in feline medicine.

Her interests include her cats, music, crocheting, and knitting.

Dr. Shari Gaberman grew up in and currently resides in Oakland Gardens, NY. She received an undergraduate degree from Mercy College and earned a DVM degree from LSU. Prior to joining the Animal Hospital of the Rockaways team, Dr. Gaberman practiced at Banfield Pet Hospital and Jacobson Veterinary Clinic. In addition to preventive care, Dr. Gaberman’s special interests include Internal Medicine and Eastern Medicine.

In her free time, Dr. Gaberman enjoys spending time with her Golden Retriever and 5 cats!
